Depending on the amount of money you would like to spend and the type of traveller you are , there are different ways to reach Sitia.
Usually , most of our guests up to now , have preferred to get a direct flight to Heraklion airport , then hire a car and drive to Sitia(127 kilometres from Heraklion) as this option gives them the opportunity for some stops on their way to Sitia and to keep the car while in Sitia so as to explore the numerous sights , nature paths and beaches in this part of the island.
Another choice , would be to fly to Athens or Thessaloniki and then get a flight to Sitia or even ask for a direct flight to Sitia although it can be more costly.Finally , you could get a ferry to Sitia from Piraeus port in Athens or catch the bus to Sitia from Heraklion.Whatever your choice of travelling , here are some useful telephone numbers and websites :
